Study Sponsor Charter

What the study will look at, who's on it, and what the sponsor promises in return. Agree it before the workshop, not after.

Step 3 · What the sponsor commits to

☐Open the kick-off and say why this study matters
☐Protect the team's time for the whole workshop
☐Decide at the decision meeting, and sign the decision log there
☐Fund the engineering time to put approved ideas into production£ or hours:
☐Clear blockers within a week of hearing about them
☐Chair a 30-minute funnel review every month until the savings are in productionFirst review:

Savings checked at L4 (target date)
Why it matters: most studies that fail never had a sponsor who could decide, or the team's time and the engineering money were never protected. If you can't fill in Step 3, fix that before the workshop.
